/ Angels & Demons (2023)
— This event is in the past —
A special guest appeared at our last rehearsal in 2020. Amidst rumours of a lockdown, composer Peter Graham dropped in to give us notes and feedback on his wind band transcription of Angels and Demons.
The feedback was good. We were preparing for the Scottish Concert Band Festival and had already performed the work in our February 2020 concert with success.
Now it’s three years on, and we have a strong sense of unfinished business. Witness Angels and Demons, the reprise!
Also featured in the concert are Danzón No. 2 by Mexican composer Arturo Márquez, full of Latin rhythm and passion; Gallimaufry, by Guy Woolfenden, with its neo-classical poise; and the sparkling Candide Overture by Leonard Bernstein, which needs no introduction.
Secure your tickets now for Angels and Demons and prepare to be swept away by the beauty and intensity of this must-see musical event. Book now and be a part of the magic on Saturday 4 March.
